John Wolford’s first snap ever in the NFL was a handoff to Cam Akers for a 10-yard gain. His second snap was an unsightly interception, tossing a pick on his first career pass.
It was a simple read for the quarterback, but he somehow missed the linebacker lurking underneath as Jordan Hicks picked off the pass easily and set up the Cardinals with excellent field position.
This wasn’t the start Wolford was hoping for. In throwing this pick, he extended the Rams’ turnover streak to 17 games.

The Cardinals quickly turned the pick into a touchdown, taking an early seven-point lead less than five minutes into the game.
