So to see the look on his face for the first time he got to see San Antonio Spurs rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama live and in the flesh.
The Sixers star’s face told the story his mouth was not able to in that context as he casually sauntered by the Spurs big man, a pair of raised eyebrows saying all that needs to be said about the Frenchman’s prodigious height.
The two team’s first meeting since Wemby joined the league, Embiid may have felt himself inspired by the presence of the 7-foot-4 forward, going on to hang an absurd point total on the hapless San Antonio squad.
