With the NFL preseason fully kicking off this weekend, the Bengals are still without star quarterback [autotag]Joe Burrow[/autotag].
The former Heisman winner at LSU suffered a calf strain in fall camp, and he hasn’t practiced since with head coach Zac Taylor saying he was expected to miss “several weeks.”
Cincinnati fans will hope he’s back by Week 1, and they got some encouragement on that front Friday night. Ahead of the Bengals’ first preseason game, Burrow was spotted on the field running sprints seemingly without issue and throwing without a leg sleeve.
Burrow certainly looked fairly comfortable while going through warmups, and Cincinnati will hope that it can get one of the league’s top quarterbacks back for the regular season.
Ahead of the 2023 season, Burrow was voted as the No. 6 player in the NFL by his peers.
