The NBA All-Star Game in Chicago tonight kicked off with a pretty incredible and emotional tribute to Kobe and Gianna Bryant just three weeks after they were two of nine people killed in a helicopter crash near Los Angeles.
Magic Johnson had the players from both teams stand together and hold hands before asking the sold-out crowd at the United Center for an 8-second moment of silence.

Magic then introduced Chicago’s own Jennifer Hudson to come out and sing a song for Kobe and Gigi, and it was absolutely beautiful.
