How would you react to a bureaucratic technicality costing you enough money for several lifetimes? Perhaps it depends on the individual in question for what would be a hypothetical question for almost all of us, but at least in the case of Boston Celtics All-Star forward Jayson Tatum, it’s both a very real concern and one we have an answer to.
The Duke product opened up on his feelings about how an All-NBA snub ended up costing him hugely in a recent interview on the Kicks YouTube show “Beyond the Press”, to the tune of a $33 million contract bonus of the life of his current deal. But Tatum isn’t angry so much as thoughtfully questioning the logic, and at least according to him, not merely on grounds of lost income there’s a case he earned as much as anyone who did make the team.
Watch the clip embedded below to hear Tatum’s take on the VERY costly snub.
