The Celtics have been on quite the roller coaster ride of a season thus far as they just can’t seem to find some sort of consistency. Tonight, the Celts were looking to win their second straight game for just the first time since Jan. 25. Though All-Star forward Jayson Tatum certainly left his mark on tonight’s game, it was two other fellow Duke Blue Devils that got the last laugh in the win column — Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson.
The Pelicans outlasted the Celtics in overtime, 120-115 as Boston, once again, finds themselves sitting at .500. For Tatum, who scored 32 points an grabbed nine rebounds, showcased his clutch gene down the stretch, knocking down a go-ahead midrange jumper with 10.5 seconds left in the fourth, only to top it by hitting a smooth, game-tying floater over the outstretched arms of Josh Hart and Nicolo Melli to send the game into overtime.
