Boston Celtics star swingman Jayson Tatum is increasingly becoming one of the primary faces of Team USA in the Olympics, but on Saturday night that job was not necessarily a pleasant one after the U.S. National Team dropped an exhibition game 90 to 87 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Tatum and Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich spoke with the press after the unexpected loss to the Nigerian National Team ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (they remain the 2020 Olympics despite their delayed start due to COVID), with the Duke product sharing the job of explaining what went wrong with the legendary coach.
While Tatum himself had a solid outing, Nigeria came on strong early and never took their foot off the gas.
