Boston Celtics starting shooting guard Jaylen Brown is slowly emerging as one of the Celtics’ most consistent players of the Disney restart on both ends of the ball.
His switchy defense against quick guards and brawny forwards was put to the test in Friday night’s loss to the Milwaukee Bucks and passed, while his scoring has also been an important part of Boston’s offense through the team’s three exhibition scrimmages and beyond.
Against the Bucks, the Marietta native put up 22 points and 4 rebounds, with some key stops and buckets interspersed through the meeting that helped keep Giannis Antetokounmpo and Milwaukee from running away with the game.
Brown has showed solid progress this season, and seems on the precipice of making a Jayson Tatum-like leap himself, helping pick up the slack while his teammate adjusts to the newfound attention he’s been getting in the ‘bubble’.
