The Boston Celtics won their fifth straight game on Thursday night as they held on against the Los Angeles Lakers, 121-113, led by Jaylen Brown and his 40-point performance.
Brown put up as efficient of a 40-point game as you’ll see, shooting 17-of-20 from the floor, becoming the first Celtic since the NBA merger to score 40 points on 85% shooting, per Stat Muse on Twitter.
This marked Brown’s 3rd 40-point game of the season as he scored his career-high on Dec. 30 against the Grizzlies with 42 points before matching that total just under a month later on Jan. 22 against the 76ers.
