WATCH: Jaylen Brown scores 29 points, 7 boards, 5 assists vs. Mavs

In his first game as an All-Star reserve, the Cal-Berkeley product put up big numbers in a losing effort against Dallas.

While many of us would prefer to forget about Tuesday night’s 110-107 road loss to the Dallas Mavericks, it’s worth giving a nod to first-time NBA All-Star Jaylen Brown’s performance in that contest. He nearly helped the Celtics come away with the win if not for a pair of daggers from fellow All-Star Luka Doncic.

The Georgia native scored 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals on 12-of-20 shooting, and while he had a bit of an off night from deep with only 2-of-8 3s going in, he looked every bit the worthy 2021 All-Star despite the loss.
