WATCH: Jaylen Brown gets Boston Celtics win vs. Knicks with first career triple-double

That he managed to dish out 11 dimes is especially intriguing for his future development.

For some time now, fans and analysts of the Boston Celtics have been clamoring to see if All-Star forward Jaylen Brown could become the sort of player who definitively makes the players around him better, and on Saturday night against the New York Knicks, he turned in his first solid claim to such an ability.

The Georgia native helped secure a 99 – 75 win on his way to the first triple-double of his career, putting up 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists on 9-of-15 shooting from the field, 2-of-4 from beyond the arc, and 2-of-3 from the charity stripe in 35 minutes of game time.

Brown thrived in his newfound identity as a playmaker, confounding the Knicks expectations of the Celtics to great effect as a result.

There’s plenty of goodness to build off of in this performance, check it out again (or for the first time) in the highlight clip embedded below that was put together by YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski.
