Jared Verse seems to make at least one highlight-reel play each and every week, continuing that trend on Sunday night against the Eagles – and it was a play where he didn’t even make a tackle.
In the second quarter, he rushed off the edge against Eagles LT Jordan Mailata, who’s 6-foot-8 and 365 pounds. Mailata is one of the biggest players in the NFL, and also one of the strongest, but Verse made him look foolish with a power move that had everyone’s attention.
Verse planted Mailata on his back like it was nothing, flushing Jalen Hurts from the pocket and disrupting the entire play for the Eagles.
My goodness, Jared. 😳

That’s some otherworldly strength from the rookie Verse, who’s only 24 years old and in his first season out of college. If he has that kind of power now, imagine how powerful he’s going to be with an NFL workout regimen for multiple years.
