Jalen Ramsey didn’t have the best year by his standards in 2019, but he’s determined to bounce back this season with the Rams. Based on reviews out of training camp, he seems to be playing like the shutdown cornerback the Rams thought he’d be when they acquired him.
He made his best play of camp – and possibly the best play of any Rams player all summer – on Tuesday in practice, picking off Jared Goff in the back of the end zone.
He only needed one hand to come down with the pick before returning it to the other end of the field.

It didn’t look like a terrible throw by Goff, but rather an excellent play by an outstanding cornerback. Ramsey has rare length, speed and size for the position, which he showed off here.
Sean McVay has been predictably thrilled with the way Ramsey has played in practice and is looking forward to what he can do when the real games begin.
And for Goff, having a player like Ramsey in coverage every day in practice will only make him a better quarterback.
