Nebraska football dominated UTEP offensively in the first half, and the exclamation point was put on the half by a touchdown catch courtesy of Jahmal Banks.
Banks transferred to the program in January and was thought to be a big-play threat. He showed that on this touchdown, leaping over his defender for the score. The touchdown gave Nebraska a 29-7 lead following the extra point.
Banks had his fingerprints on this game at the half, recording three catches for 48 yards. The touchdown was Raiola’s second of the half, and he went into the locker room with 192 passing yards.
It will be interesting to see Nebraska’s offensive approach in the second half. The Huskers’ running game has been working well, but there’s no denying that the Nebraska passing attack is a legitimate threat.
