Watch: Jaguars announce 2023 schedule with hilarious ‘scripted’ sketch

The Jaguars’ schedule release video has everything from “Pug Dederson” to Andrew Wingard playing Trevor Lawrence’s stunt double.

The Jacksonville Jaguars enlisted a lot of help in a hilarious eight-minute video released Thursday night to announce their 2023 NFL schedule.

The video stars Asher Grodman, an actor who stars in the CBS series Ghosts, as the head writer of the Jaguars’ game day scripts. Grodman says in the video that he and his team of writers deserve the credit for writing the story of Jacksonville’s dramatic and exciting 2022 season.

Featured in the video is everyone from Shad Khan and Doug Pederson (a.k.a. Pug Dederson), Andrew Wingard as Trevor Lawrence’s stunt double, and Jaguars legends Tony Boselli, Josh Scobee, and John Henderson.

At the end of the video, Lawrence steps into the writer’s room to tell them they’re all fired because he wrote a script of his own “and Shad loves it.”

The Jaguars’ full schedule for the 2023 regular season — which will begin Sept. 10 on the road against the Indianapolis Colts — can be found here.
