Watch: Jags strike first vs. Colts with a Laquon Treadwell touchdown

The Jags are currently up 13-3 on the Colts at half-time and their success started with a Laquon Treadwell touchdown on the first drive.

The Jacksonville Jaguars won’t be heading to the postseason, but they came into Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts looking to keep their longtime rivals from doing the same. In fact, the Jags struck first in Sunday’s game by putting up seven points in their initial drive, which was the first of the game.

The drive looked like it was the best of the season for Trevor Lawrence and Co. The drive was also one where receiver Marvin Jones Jr. was the main source of offense as he caught three passes in the process for 17, 12, and 16 yards. However, it was receiver Laquon Treadwell, who ended up getting the touchdown pass (for two yards) to put the Jags on the board, though.

The Jags’ initial drive was a 12-play drive for 75 yards that lasted over seven minutes. Matthew Wright’s extra point was good, putting them up 7-0 at that moment.

The Jags continued to have success on the offensive side since their initial score, but the problem is that they’ve been unable to find the end zone and have settled for two more field goals before heading in for halftime. However, the defense has kept the Colts from scoring, too, aside from a Michael Badgley field goal during their second offensive drive (score is currently 13-3).

With the Colts set to receive the ball to start the third quarter, only time will tell if the Jags can pick up where they left off and give the home crowd a win to end the season.
