Boston Celtics two way point guard Tremont Waters wasn’t the only player on the team’s roster scoring new high scores with the franchise on Sunday’s season-end finale against the New York Knicks, and while it might not have been enough to stop the Celtics from losing the contest 96 – 92, a big game off the bench from reserve forward Jabari Parker nearly helped Boston steal the win.
Parker put up 18 points to lead the Celtics in scoring along with 7 rebounds and 2 assists with 0 turnovers and 3 personal fouls in 27 minutes of play, shooting a very solid 6-of-10 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line, even hitting 1 of his 3 attempts from beyond the arc.
With an unguaranteed deal next season, the Duke product’s future is not set in stone to remain with the team beyond these upcoming postseason contests.
