The Boston Celtics could soon be eyeing some major changes ahead of the 2022 NBA trade deadline, pending how their team can manage the remainder of a tough December slate of games, their health, and the perceived fit of the players already on the roster.
More losses would almost certainly translate to some kind of shake-up, but if it were to be a big one, the right player or players would have to be available, and the team they are with disposed to take what the Celtics have to offer. One likely suspect being viewed as a potential such option is longtime friend of Celtics star Jayson Tatum, Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal.
NBC Sports Boston’s Chris Forsberg, Trenni Kusnierek, and Chris Mannix all discuss the potential leverage the soon-to-be free agent might have in such a situation on a recent episode of NBC’s “Early Edition,” and how it could play out with Beal in green and white even before the 2022-23 season.
