WATCH: Is the Celtics’ Robert Williams already having a breakout season?

Is Time Lord finally starting to come into his own as a player?

There is a growing consensus that Boston Celtics big man Robert Williams III may finally be ready for real responsibility in the team’s rotation, with the Texas A&M product demonstrating he can stay on the floor defensively while providing vertical spacing, passing and midrange shooting on the other side of the ball.

So far this season, Time Lord has been averaging 6 points, 5.6 rebounds, a steal and 1.6 blocks per game while logging an absurd 78.9% field goal percentage. And while that latter stat is sure to go down when the Louisiana native gets more than the 15.8 minutes a game he’s been averaging, with two starting-caliber centers already on the roster, it’s not clear where those minutes will come from.

Boston fans are starting to chomp at the bit to see Williams get more playing time, and the play in the video put together by our friends at The Playgrounder will give you a good idea why.

The former Aggie is in the midst of a breakout of sorts — the kind of problem most front offices would like to have moving forwards.
