WATCH: Ian Jackson highlights for Team USA

UNC basketball commit Ian Jackson scored 17 points in Team USA’s opening game win over Madagascar.

Team USA is off and running at the U19 Men’s World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary, beating Madagascar 136-69 on Saturday.

USA never trailed in the game and opened it up with a 10-0 run late in the first quarter to create some separation. Team USA had seven players score in double-digits including UNC commit Ian Jackson who finished the game with 17 points.

The 2024 commit showed off his skillset in the game as a key player for Team USA. Check out some highlights of Jackson’s 17-point performance in the big win for USA as the tournament continues on this week in Hungary:

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound guard is ranked No. 5 overall by 247Sports in the 2024 rankings. He committed to UNC earlier in 2023 and despite rumors of other programs pursuing him, he’s stayed committed to the program.

Jackson is UNC’s prized recruit in that 2024 class and if he continues to play this way, his stock will continue to rise.

Team USA will take on Slovenia on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET. The game will be streamed on YouTube.
