On Saturday, Charlotte Hornets rookie LaMelo Ball registered his first points in the NBA during the second game of the year after going scoreless in the season opener on Wednesday.
Ball notched his first point at the free-throw line against the Oklahoma City Thunder after he was fouled on a layup attempt. He converted on one of two shots from the line during that trip early in the first quarter as his first official bucket came just a few seconds later.
The 19-year-old scored his first basket a few possessions later on a tough take to the rim going to his right. Ball then drained his first career 3-pointer, a deep look from the top of the key.

Ball missed all five of his shot attempts from the floor in the season opener versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. He dished out three assists and had two steals in nearly 16 minutes of work off the bench during the loss while he also committed three turnovers.
In total, Ball finished the first quarter with a team-high nine points.
