With the 55th pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens selected Ohio State running back, J.K. Dobbins. Even though he’s entering a crowded backfield that features Mark Ingram, Gus Edwards, and Justice Hill, Dobbins brings a dynamic presence that could be truly scary when paired with quarterback Lamar Jackson (even more shocking when you think of what the Ravens accomplished last season).
Dobbins’ speed, power, and versatility as a receiving back give the Baltimore offense another weapon which allows them to be aggressive in their play calling. It also builds on the RPO style of play they seemed to have perfected last season.
To get a better idea of what I’m talking about, take a look at some highlights from Dobbins’ career at Ohio State.
Dobbins finished his career at Ohio State with 4,459 yards rushing and 38 TDs, averaging 6.2 yards-per-attempt. With that kind of production being added to the roster, Baltimore’s ridiculous rushing attack just found another weapon . . . and opposing defense have another reason to be worried.
