Aside from getting blown out by the Cowboys and embarrassed by the Packers with Matthew Stafford sidelined, the Los Angeles Rams have played some close and exciting games this season. Sunday’s matchup with the Seahawks was no different.
The Rams fell behind 13-0 in the first half before coming all the way back and outscoring the Seahawks 10-0 in the fourth quarter to win, 17-16. Seattle never found the end zone after its opening drive and the Rams held the Seahawks to only 87 net yards in the second half of the game.
There were some ugly drives offensively, with three three-and-outs and a two-play drive that ended with an interception, but the Rams gained 74 and 75 yards on their final two possessions to seal the victory.
The defense is what kept Los Angeles in the game all afternoon, too. The Rams had two sacks and Derion Kendrick came up with a clutch interception in the fourth quarter to set up the game-winning field goal, his third pass breakup of the day.
