Coming off a loss to the Chargers in the preseason opener, the Rams were hoping to bounce back by beating the Raiders at SoFi Stadium on Saturday night. Unfortunately, they came up just short after a near-comeback in the final minutes of the fourth quarter.
Bryce Perkins almost pulled it off when he hit Jacob Harris for a touchdown to make it 17-16 with 14 seconds to play. However, the Rams went for two, once again targeting Harris in the end zone.
The fade fell incomplete and the ensuing onside kick was recovered by the Raiders, sealing the win for Las Vegas. Perkins played the entire game and showed a ton of potential, while Chris Garrett, J.R. Reed and Bobby Brown made clutch plays on defense.
