The No. 3 Notre Dame baseball team used a huge evening from ace John Michael Bertrand to defeat Virginia Tech 8-2 and take the opener of the final regular-season series of 2021.
Bertrand was spectacular in his final regular-season start, pitching his second complete game of the season and allowing just one earned run along the way.
The win moved Notre Dame to 27-10 on the year and an ACC best 23-10 in the conference.
