Aaron Donald once again put together a dominant season in 2020, ranking second in the NFL with 13.5 sacks and leading the league with 98 total pressures, per Pro Football Focus. Predictably, he was recognized with several awards and accolades, the biggest of which came on Saturday night: AP Defensive Player of the Year.
It’s his third time winning the award, tying an NFL record with Lawrence Taylor and J.J. Watt. He also won PFWA Defensive Player of the Year, was a first-team All-Pro and made his seventh Pro Bowl. There’s little doubt that he’s the best defensive player in the NFL and the top defensive tackle, possibly the best to ever play the position.
To commemorate his award-winning season, the Rams released a highlight reel of his best plays from the 2020 campaign. He was borderline unblockable, with even double-teams failing to get the job done.
