The Rams set up three joint practices this summer as part of their training camp schedule, holding one session with the Dallas Cowboys and two with the Las Vegas Raiders. Sean McVay loves the value that comes with practicing against other teams, putting in good work in a controlled setting where injuries are easier to avoid than they are in the preseason.
The Rams held their practice with the Cowboys in Oxnard on Saturday, ratcheting up the level of competition, even if guys weren’t full-on tackling each other on the field. They went through special teams drills, individual reps and team sessions, both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11.
Both teams won their share of reps, but the Rams got a taste of Dallas’ receiving corps, while the Cowboys’ secondary also realized just how talented Los Angeles’ receivers are.
