Las Vegas Raiders fans were excited to learn this morning that rookie wide receiver Henry Ruggs III was back in the starting lineup.
Based on this play, you can bet that quarterback Derek Carr is similarly excited:
OH MY, HENRY RUGGS. 😱 @__RUGGS #RaiderNation

Ruggs was known for his speed during his days at Alabama, and he definitely gets over the top of the Kansas City Chiefs defense on this vertical route. But when the pass is underthrown, the rookie wideout flashes both his ball-tracking skills, and his strength. Ruggs works back to the football and rips it away from defensive back Rashad Fenton, coming down with the reception.
Raiders fans are hoping to see more plays like this from their talented young rookie wide receiver.
