The 2019-20 season may be over and well behind us, but Boston Celtics second-year forward Grant Williams has heard he won’t stop being a rookie until he checks into his first game of the 2020-21 season.
The Tennessee product got us up to speed on such pressing questions as to whether he felt different now that he wasn’t a rookie anymore (“it feels pretty good just to feel that I’m a year in the league and feel confident going into my next year,” he replied), along with a bevvy of more pressing concerns.
Such as who’s been winning at Catan, how he’s improved his game, whether he thinks he’ll see the floor more this season, and what he might pick up from new teammate Tristan Thompson.
With the team’s first preseason game kicking off in less than two weeks on Dec. 15 and some playing time in the frontcourt at the four likely to be there for the taking, it’s going to be an important season in Williams’ career.
Watch the video embedded above to hear how he is feeling heading into 2020-21, and how the pandemic has already begun to change how it will unfold.
