Gabe Brown will have a bigger role on next year’s squad — and that looks promising based on a highlight video released from an open run with former Spartan-commit and mega recruit Emoni Bates.
Brown and Bates seem to have a close relationship since the two have been seen practicing together in the offseason numerous times over the years. That was again the case this week, with a highlight video coming out of this latest scrimmage showing an impressive Brown.

Keep in mind that this is a highlight tape of sorts so we aren’t seeing the full scrimmage but Brown looks pretty darn dominant. Hopefully, this will translate to the court next season, with Brown appearing as the new leader of the Spartans.
Brown averaged 7.2 points and 2.7 rebounds this past season, and will be the Spartans’ second returning leading scorer next year.
