Of all the teams in the NBA the Boston Celtics enjoy handing out a good thrashing to in the league, the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets stand out as fan favorites in that regard.
And on Thursday evening, the Celtics did exactly that on the road, blowing out a banged-up Nets squad 129 – 106 behind Boston’s outstanding, connected defense and a souped-up offense built off of the increased pace and transition attack opportunities it opens up as a result. All-Star forward Jayson Tatum led all scorers with 30 points and 7 rebounds, while teammate Jaylen Brown added 18 points and 6 assists.
