You couldn’t ask for a better start to the second half for the Cincinnati Bengals, who are in search of their first Super Bowl win in franchise history.
On the opening play from scrimmage after intermission, Joe Burrow connected with a leaping Tee Higgins for a 75-yard touchdown. The Cinderella Bengals now owned a 17-13 lead over the LA Rams just 12 seconds into the third quarter. But with as good as Matthew Stafford was in the first half, it felt like a momentum swing in the opposite direction was bound to happen.
Not so fast said Chidobe Awuzie.
The former Colorado Buffaloes defensive back was in the right place when Rams receiver Ben Skowronek juggled a Stafford pass that went just high enough in the air for Awuzie to snatch it.

Before that big play, Awuzie also had a strong first half. The Bengals tweeted out this video of Awuzie’s creative celebration following a big third down tackle.
