It was a wild first half in the Swamp between the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide, who battled to a 21-9 score heading into the locker room. ‘Bama dominated the first quarter, scoring three touchdowns against UF’s lone red-zone field goal before getting blanked in the second quarter by an improved defensive approach.
Florida received the kickoff to open the second half and marched 75 yards down the field to add another six points on the board, plus the point after. The drive was clinched by a 3-yard run by Dameon Pierce on a third-and-goal play. Here is a look at the play.

The drive featured a few rushes by both quarterback Emory Jones and fellow running back Malik Davis, the latter of whose 15-yard run was the biggest play of the downfield push. Jones was able to complete a couple of passes throughout the series helping Florida’s potent ground attack across the goaline.
Alabama still leads the game but the Gators have shown that they “won’t back down”.
