WATCH: First look at Tua Tagovailoa participating in Dolphins training camp

Former Alabama QB is able to run and participate with his teammates at the Miami Dolphins training camp.

Tua Tagovailoa made a huge splash at Alabama with his plays made on the field, and now it seems any physical activity he does can make headlines.

With the start of Miami Dolphins training camp, we now get a look at the fully healthy, no limitations Tagovailoa that we’ve been told about by doctors and coaches.

Despite being the presumed backup to veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tagovailoa will continue to compete. Even Fitzpatrick is aware that he will one day take over the starting role, maybe sooner than we think.

“I don’t know how much time it will be before Tua will be in the lineup. I know that I am the placeholder. We’ve already had that conversation,” says Fitzpatrick. “I’ve told him, ‘I’m going to do the best I can to lead this team and win football games when I’m out there.’ Whenever it is that Tua gets his chance whether it’s early or late or whenever, I’m going to be his biggest cheerleader.”

The first step to making it into the lineup as a starter is to work his way through training camp.

Through this short clip posted to the Miami Dolphins social media accounts, Tagovailoa can be seen running alongside his teammates, able to keep up, without a brace on his leg or a limp in his step.
