The Boston Celtics find themselves in unexpected territory to start the 2021 NBA playoffs, underdogs after several seasons of slow, gradual improvement in their quest for Banner 18.
Injuries and awkward roster construction dropped them to the East’s seventh seed after making it through their first play-in tournament game. Now, the Celtics will need to defeat the mighty Brooklyn Nets to make it out of the first round, and they will need everything they have to expect to win games in this series.
