The Boston Celtics’ elite defensive capabilities are starting to get noticed around the NBA media sphere in a big way, with their stifling approach to protecting the basket with a switch-heavy style of play on that end of the court anchored by Rob Williams III keeping the Celtics in the win column even when they lose a star player.
That particular game in question, which saw forward Jaylen Brown go down early with a sprained ankle against the Atlanta Hawks this past Tuesday evening, caught the attention of ESPN analyst Jalen Rose, who sung the praises of Boston’s top-notch defense in a recent episode of the eponymous show he co-hosts with David Jacoby on the Bristol, Connecticut-based network.
Check out the clip embedded below to hear what the duo have to say about the Celtics’ second-half resurgence that is being fueled by their defensive excellence.
