Watch: Draymond Green coaching up rookie James Wiseman on the sideline on Christmas Day vs. Bucks

During the second quarter against the Bucks on Christmas Day, Draymond Green was coaching Warriors’ rookie James Wiseman on the sideline.

After scoring 19 points in his NBA debut on Tuesday against the Brooklyn Nets, rookie James Wiseman continued his impressive open to the season in the first half against the Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas Day.

In the first half, the 2020 No. 2 overall pick tallied 14 points on 4-5 shooting from the field with four boards and two blocks. The 7-footer didn’t just do damage inside; Wiseman stepped outside to knock down two triples on two attempts from beyond the arc.

Wiseman will continue to progress when Golden State’s All-Star forward Draymond Green returns to the lineup from injury. While they’ve yet to play together, Green was caught coaching up his new rookie teammate in a meeting on the sideline.

In the second quarter, the former Defensive Player of the Year was giving Wiseman pointers for what to do on defense.

If he’s cleared to return from his foot injury, Wiseman and Green could share the court during the backend of Golden State’s road trip in Detroit or Chicago.
