Dont’e Deayon has become a starter in the Rams secondary since Darious Williams went on injured reserve and he’s played well in the last three games. He nearly made the best play of his career against the Texans on Sunday but a penalty snatched an interception away from him.
It happened right before halftime when Davis Mills threw toward Brandin Cooks along the sideline, with Deayon in coverage. Deayon went way up to grab the ball out of the air, somehow coming down in bounds by getting both feet in.
Unfortunately, Ernest Jones was called for illegal hands to the face away from the play, negating Deayon’s spectacular effort.

It didn’t wind up mattering in the grand scheme of things, but it sure would’ve been nice for Deayon to be credited with a pick there. It would’ve gone down as one of the best picks of the season thus far.
