WATCH: Donovan Wilson snags first career INT; Cowboys re-take lead

The second-year safety has impressed this season; now he has logged his first interception as a pro with a fourth-quarter pick.

Donovan Wilson has been one of the rare nice surprises this season for the Cowboys. The safety in his second season out of Texas A&M came into the Week 15 contest having forced three fumbles on the year, recovering two of them.

Now Wilson has his first interception, an athletic pick of a Nick Mullens pass that the Cowboys offense eventually tuned into a field goal to retake the lead against the 49ers.

Wilson had missed the team’s previous two games with a groin injury.

After the 46-yard field goal by Greg Zuerlein, Wilson almost notched his second interception on the ensuing defensive series, but was unable to secure the catch as his impressive ballhawking sophomore season continues.

Midway through the fourth quarter, the Cowboys maintain a 27-24 lead.
