Do the Boston Celtics have a shooting problem with their roster? In their 110-99 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday, the team shot a depressing 26.8% from beyond the arc, hitting 11-of-41 attempts, nearly half of all the shots attempted by the team against the Hawks.
For the season, the team is shooting 32.3% from deep, good for 26th in the 30-team NBA. While there are plenty of factors to consider when attributing blame to the sad state of affairs from 3-point range, the most important aspect of the equation is finding a solution.
Does the team have players buried on its roster worth giving consistent run to see if they can produce better than the veterans currently eating up most of the playing time? Or do the Celtics need to explore the trade market to solve such a critical problem?
The hosts of the CLNS Media podcast “The Garden Report” recently explored this conundrum on their most recent episode, watch the video embedded above to hear what conclusions they come to.
