The Heisman Trophy votes are in already. That didn’t stop Alabama’s DeVonta Smith from continuing to put on his campaign.
Notre Dame’s defense had no answers for the wide receiver Thursday in the Rose Bowl. The Crimson Tide ripped the Fighting Irish, 31-14, and advanced to the College Football Playoff champion on Jan. 11.
Smith, who is the favorite for the Heisman Trophy, had 7 catches for 130 yards and three touchdowns.
He also had a 20-yard punt return.
