Michigan football fans were accustomed to seeing opposing quarterbacks either avoiding cornerback David Long Jr. or otherwise pay the consequences.
Chicago Bears quarterback Andy Dalton found out about that the hard way on on Sunday night.
A starter now for the Los Angeles Rams after having started only one game in his 24 NFL appearances, Long has been waiting his turn for a while. Dalton and the Bears were deep into the red zone looking to go ahead 7-0, but Dalton’s pass was tipped and Long came away with his first career interception.
Aside from a pick six, there’s nothing sweeter than an interception that takes points off the board.
