Nebraska football entered halftime against the Iowa Hawkeyes on Friday with a 10-0 lead. The game’s first touchdown was scored courtesy of running back Dante Dowdell.
Several Huskers players contributed to this drive, one ttakinglays, 74 yards, and 4:01 off the clock. Jahmal Banks had a 12-yard reception, and Emmett Johnson was able to run the ball for 8 yards. Rahmir Johnson was able to help supplement the rushing attack as well, as the running backs were able to get into a groove on this drive. Dowdell was able to punch it in from the red zone.
It was the running back’s back’souchdown of the season and fourth in the last two games.
There was still a ton of time to be had at the time of DowdellDowdell’sown. Nevertheless, it was an important one in a game that was a defensive battle throughout the course of the night.
