Watch: Daniel Jeremiah speculates on Dolphins’ 2020 QB options

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah joined the Rich Eisen show to speculate on the Dolphins’ options in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Decisions, decisions.

Tagovailoa. Herbert. Burrow. Lawrence. These are the names running through the minds of not just Miami Dolphins fans but also Miami Dolphins executives these days. The Dolphins, with their treasure trove of NFL Draft picks, has the ammunition to make a big splash in April’s 2020 NFL Draft. But the question remains: should they?

How big of a splash? Would an aggressive move compromise the team’s rebuilding project? What if the team doesn’t pick the right quarterback? If you’re going to pay to trade up for Tua, shouldn’t you just explore how much more Cincinnati would need for Burrow? Does Burrow even want to play in Cincinnati?

There’s enough here to make your head spin. And that’s what makes the offseason, at least this offseason, just as fun as the regular season. The Dolphins have options. They have ammo. And they have a vision. We just don’t know what that last bit looks like yet.

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah joined the Rich Eisen show this week to help navigate the quarterback race of 2020 — and helped uncover some of the motivations for this week’s headlines.

As Jeremiah points out, the Dolphins are wise to sit on their hands — for now. If the team is set on Tagovailoa, they’ll be wise to get as much medical information as possible before moving into action. And if they prefer Herbert or Burrow? Well then it’s probably going to be a bumpy week next week in Indianapolis as news and rumors start to leak out during the NFL Combine.

This is the time of year that deals get struck. Getting Miami into the same building with the Lions and Bengals and Tagovailoas and Burrows will prompt a lot of noise. But as Jeremiah cautions, it’s early. It’s still very early. So take it all for a grain of salt and let’s let the process run its course.

Every option is on the table for the Dolphins. For now.
