Most people seem to think the Panthers are completely screwed with superstar running back Christian McCaffrey on the shelf for the next 4-6 weeks with a high ankle sprain.
While it’s never easy to replace a playmaker as talented as McCaffrey, his absence could force the team to run a more aggressive passing offense. Watch Eric Eager at Pro Football Focus make the case that the Panthers could actually be better without McCaffrey in the lineup.

No lies detected, here. Passing is almost always more efficient than running. If offensive coordinator Joe Brady embraces passing on early downs and utilizes players like Curtis Samuel better, this offense could actually become more potent while McCaffrey is out.
