WATCH: Commanders QB Jayden Daniels’ best plays through the preseason

Watch Jayden Daniels’ top plays of the preseason.

Washington Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels has played in two preseason games. In those two games, Daniels has led three Washington drives, completing 12 of 15 passes for 123 yards. He’s also carried the ball three times for 16 yards and a touchdown.

Unlike No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams, Daniels hasn’t had many “wow” moments through the first two preseason games. Daniels’ first-ever completion to wide receiver Dyami Brown went for 42 yards and was all over the highlight reels.

Daniels has looked terrific. He does not look like a rookie. On Monday, head coach Dan Quinn unsurprisingly named him the team’s starting quarterback.

In honor of being named the starter, the NFL’s official X page revealed the top highlights from Daniels’ first two games.

Will we see Daniels in Sunday’s preseason finale against the New England Patriots? Teams often sit their starters for the final preseason game, and with Daniels having played in two games and participated in two joint practices, the Commanders may feel comfortable resting their starters, including Daniels, for the season opener.
