Another week, another downfield completion from Anthony Richardson to Alec Pierce.
On the Indianapolis Colts’ third possession of the game, they found themselves back in the red zone thanks to this 40-yard toss and catch from Richardson to Pierce.

Unfortunately, the drive did not find the end zone, but instead another field goal. Overall, the Colts’ offense has moved the ball well between the 20 yard lines, but their red zone woes are the early difference in this game.
This season with Richardson at the helm, Pierce has emerged as one of the most productive downfield targets in football.
Among all receivers coming into Week 12, Pierce’s 10 receptions on throws of at least 20 yards are tied for the second-most in football. His 429 yards on those completions are also the second most and his 42.9 yards per catch ranks eighth, according to PFF.
On the Colts’ second possession of the game, the duo nearly connected on another downfield throw, but the ball was just out of Pierce’s reach.
