WATCH: Colin Cowherd makes the case for J.J. Watt to land with the Green Bay Packers

If you’ve followed Wisconsin Badger or NFL football over the past week, you’ve seen the story that J.J. Watt’s departure from Houston has become and seen the speculation surrounding where he will end up.

For those dual Badger—Packer fans out there, I’m guessing there’s a favorite destination in mind.

If you haven’t seen enough “where will J.J. Watt land” content, earlier today FOXSports radio host Colin Cowherd made a compelling case for the hometown Packers to land the Wisconsin Badger legend.

“Green Bay is where he should go,” Cowherd argues. “I don’t know if it’s the best schematic fit, but I know that Green Bay needs to create momentum…We know Green Bay always sounds interested [in free agents] or says they’re interested. But the Packers’ history tells you, ‘we’ll build through the draft.’ You can’t have [Brett] Favre and [Aaron] Rodgers for 25 years and only win 2 Super Bowls. And the reason is they have to create some momentum here and go for it.”

Cowherd’s take on the situation rivals that from a recent ESPN article, one which named Watt signing with the Steelers as an offseason bold prediction.

The logistics of a possible Watt—Packers union aside, this would be by far the best-case scenario for Badger fans who have had to watch the future Hall of Famer play in Houston for the last decade.

I want it to become reality, and NFL fans everywhere should agree.
