After a slow start that produced an early deficit for the Golden State Warriors against the Phoenix Suns, Steve Kerr turned to his second unit for a spark in the desert.
The Chris Paul-led group delivered. Behind Paul, Dario Saric, Jonathan Kuminga and Brandin Podziemski, the Warriors took command. Golden State’s reserve group blasted past the Suns on a 13-0 run before halftime.
Paul connected with Kuminga to put an exclamation mark on Golden State’s run. From just inside the halfcourt logo, Paul lobbed a high-arcing pass near the rim for Kuminga. The young forward exploded past Suns center Bol Bol for a high-flying alley-oop dunk.

Despite another loss for the Warriors against the Suns, Kuminga impressed off the bench on Tuesday. The former member of the G League Ignite tallied 16 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the field to go along with six rebounds and a steal in 29 minutes.
