WATCH: Chiefs’ Travis Kelce coaching, running routes at Tight End University summit

#Chiefs TE Travis Kelce is coaching and showing off his route-running skills at the inaugural Tight End University summit.

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is one of three co-organizers for the inaugural Tight End University summit going on in Nashville, Tennessee this week.

On Thursday, over 40 NFL tight ends hit the gridiron for some on-field work and instruction. Kelce, a six-time Pro Bowler and three-time First-Team All-Pro, was one of the tight ends teaching and leading players in different drills on the field.

ESPN’s NFL Nation reporter for the Tennessee Titans, Turron Davenport, was on hand at Lipscomb Academy to watch the players work. He captured some intense, passionate moments of Kelce coaching up his fellow tight ends.

Check it out, but be warned, there is some NSFW language:

“Bring physics and everything into it,” Kelce began. “Unless you’re bowlegged. When you go into break nine times out of 10, like a pitcher. . . I want to come off the mound at home plate. I want to go in the direction that I’m going. So I’m putting this in step in the direction that I am going. Your quarterback is back there and it’s a hitch break, I’m treating it so that my hips and everything align.”

Kelce continued his on-field instruction throughout the day.

And you know that the Chiefs’ star couldn’t just teach his fellow tight ends, Kelce had to get some hands-on demonstration going, running routes and catching passes.

It looks to me like Kelce may have coaching in his future. In addition to the work he’s doing to help others improve their game, he’s seemingly getting some valuable repetitions in as well.
